As a BP Retail Duty Manager, you'll be managing all aspects of the fresh food operation within our Marks and Spencer Simply Food store. This is likely to be your first step into a management role and you will be given exposure to some of the more administrative processes involved in running a successful store. Full training will be provided to help you to develop into a strong leader and coach as you manage a team of customer service administrators.

You will personally handle deliveries; ensure stock levels are maintained as well as ensuring the store operates safely in accordance with health and safety, food safety and compliance policies and procedures. Above all, you will ensure customer service is second to none, providing a friendly and helpful shopping experience for every customer.

What you’ll need

Supervisory experience would be advantageous although not essential however you will need to have demonstrable retail experience – preferably within food retail although again, this is not essential. You'll be commercially aware with a strong focus on improving the customer experience within stores. You'll be able to demonstrate the ability to develop and become an inspirational leader, developing your team to their full potential and you'll possess a clear and open communication and leadership style.

What you’ll get in return

As well as your salary, you will be entitled to 23 days’ annual leave, rising to 25 days with service. You’re likely to receive a bonus worth up to 10% of your salary. You can also look forward to the kinds of benefits that you’d expect from a well-known global brand: access to private healthcare, a pension scheme, a share save scheme (so you can own a part of BP), a fuel card to make savings on petrol and a 15% discount in-store. You’ll also enjoy half-price meals and free hot drinks from the Wild Bean Café while on duty. And, you’ll have the security and prospects that come with working for an expanding, global business.

That’s not all: you will also be given the training and support required to develop your management potential and excel within BP. And wherever you’re based, a job in BP Retail is your opportunity to join a team of dedicated, friendly and respectful individuals all with one common goal – to provide the best possible customer service.
